On Camera Workshops
Are you ready to create realistic scenes with other actors that get the attention
of decision makers and most importantly, the audience?

The following workshops are conducted regularly but not on a consistent schedule.

Audition Techniques
2 Sessions – 4 hours of Instruction, $45, 4-8 students
This introductory class will prepare students for being comfortable and successful with the audition process and include slates, cold reading, memorization, improvisation and relating to the camera.
Television Scene Study
6 weeks – 12 hours of Instruction, $180, 4-8 students
Students involved in this workshop will develop skills to create realistic, authentic comedic and dramatic scenes. They will focus on listening, reacting, blocking and physicality with other actors. Improvisation, cold reads and memorized scripts from sitcoms, dramas and soap operas will be incorporated into the class.
Film Scene Study
6 weeks – 12 hours of Instruction, $180, 4-8 students
This workshop is designed to help actors develop their emotional inventory with truthful feelings based on the five main emotions of happiness, sadness, fear, anger and love. These skills are especially important for actors wanting to pursue a career in film. Students will complete improvisational exercises, cold reads and perform and watch actual film scenes.

Write, Act, Direct Workshop*
8 Weeks – 16 hours of Instruction, $240, 4-8 students
Understanding the basics of writing scripts and directing scenes helps an actor become a well rounded performer with a deeper empathy for the craft and process. This advanced* level class is designed to give students a multi-faceted experience that includes a series of writing, acting and directing exercises. The course will include discussions on story development, dialogue writing, non-verbal scenes, casting and directing techniques. All students will be required to write outside of class and be prepared to have their scripts read, memorized and performed in class. Students will focus on both comedic and dramatic scenes. All students will be directing the scenes they have written. The scenes will be videotaped for evaluation.

*Students must have completed as least four hours of individual coaching or the Scene Study Workshop to participate.
